ChampLV: “There When It Counts”

Coming out of Virginia Beach, ChampLV represents resilience, motivation, and raw truth.

Born Zeshawn Jones on Valentine’s Day, the symbolism fits. His name carries love — but his music carries pressure, pain, and purpose.

“The Champ part? That’s just who I am.”

And he says it with conviction.

From Broken Home to Building Legacy

ChampLV’s story isn’t polished — it’s real.

A young Black man coming from a broken home, navigating jail time, setbacks, and life lessons that came early. Recently coming home in January 2025 after doing time, he didn’t let incarceration define him.

Instead, it sharpened him.

He’s focused on building something lasting — something that lives beyond him and provides for his people.

The Sound: Motivation Through Experience

ChampLV describes his music as motivational — especially for people who come from similar backgrounds.

His creative process?

Unfiltered.

He doesn’t write. He goes with whatever he’s feeling in the moment. That spontaneity makes his records honest. You’re not hearing rehearsed lines — you’re hearing thoughts in real time.

The Turning Point

One moment stands out.

While shooting a music video, a homeless man struggling with addiction — someone Champ knew personally — told him that his music made him want to chase his dreams again.

That hit different.

That’s when it became bigger than streams or views.

It became responsibility.

Overcoming Challenges

Back-to-back jail stints tested his focus. But ChampLV understands something simple:

“The day gone end. Tomorrow gone be a new one.”

That mindset keeps him grounded.

When motivation is low, it’s the people around him — and especially his mother — who remind him why he can’t stop.

The Mission

His audience?

The youth.
His age group.
The ones who didn’t get opportunities.
The ones who gave up too early.

He wants to spark something in them.

He wants to prove that no matter your background, you can still pivot.

“There When It Counts” & “Love Me Now”

One of his most personal records, “There When It Counts,” reflects loyalty and presence — being solid when it matters most.

His current chapter would be titled:

“Love Me Now.”

Because, in his words, love him now — while he’s building — not later when the spotlight’s already on.

What to Expect

From ChampLV, expect:

  • Big, influential moves

  • Authentic pain turned into power

  • Jewel-dropping lyrics

  • A whole different approach

He’s not chasing trends.
He’s chasing impact.

And coming from Virginia Beach, ChampLV is stepping into the ring — gloves on — ready to prove why that name fits.
